The board meeting and assembly of presidents of the Hellenic Bakers Federation (OAE) were successfully held on the third day of ARTOZA 2025 in Hall C2 of the Metropolitan Expo. Initially, after the customary greeting and introduction by the president, Mr. Michalis Mousios, the discussion focused on industry issues (energy, coumarin, insurance, etc.).
Subsequently, Ms. Ismini Papakyrilou (Hellenic Development Bank) spoke about the existing funding programs for bakers. Then, Mr. Ioannis Avgoustidis (OAE Energy Consultant-Regional Director of DELTA Energy Consultants) took the stage, urging bakers to be cautious about phone calls regarding energy matters, as they can be misleading.
Next, the Insurance Consultant, Mr. Lambros Triantos, emphasized the importance of insurance for artisanal bakeries, especially considering recent natural disasters.
Following him, the vice president of OAE, Ms. Koukoumeria, spoke about the Tempi tragedy, confirming the bakers’ participation in the demonstrations in line with the circular sent by GSEVEE. Tension prevailed in the room as some delegates requested a vote for a strike or work stoppage on February 28.
